Primary ClusterIn the Primary Cluster we read the book Peace Week in Mrs. Fox's Class by Eileen Spinelli and Illustrated by Anne Kennedy. The book tells the story of Mrs. Fox's 1st grade class and how they learned to spread "peace" by helping others, taking turns, and saying something nice to someone even when they are grumpy. "Wouldn't it be nice, Squirrel says, if every week could be Peace Week?"

Middle ClusterIn the Middle Cluster we took at look at some of the historic peacemakers throughout history. We discussed their impact on the world and the idea that we all have the ability to make a difference in the world. Like these famous peacemakers they were once young boys and girls who shared their kindness and compassion with those around them.

Upper ClusterIn the Upper Cluster we investigated the idea of how we can make a difference in our own communities (families, class, school, neighborhood, etc...). We also asked the question "Is modeling peace - contagious"
